Mid Penn Bank Expands Presence with New Branch in Cumberland County

Mid Penn Bank is bucking the trend of major banks closing branches by expanding its reach with a new location. The Millersburg-based financial institution, with a storied 155-year history, has been steadily growing beyond its roots in Dauphin County.

Mid Penn Bank has now established branches in an impressive array of Pennsylvania counties, including Berks, Blair, Bucks, Centre, Chester, Clearfield, Cumberland, Dauphin, Fayette, Huntingdon, Lancaster, Lehigh, Luzerne, Montgomery, Perry, Schuylkill, and Westmoreland. Notably, the bank has also ventured into New Jersey, expanding its footprint into two counties following its acquisition of Brunswick Bancorp just last year. In total, the bank now boasts 49 branches.

The latest addition to their expanding network is in Cumberland County, where they have now established four locations. The new branch officially opened its doors on September 5th, located at 1196 Walnut Bottom Road in South Middleton Township near Carlisle. A grand opening celebration is scheduled to take place between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on September 22nd.

This new location offers a wide range of banking services, including traditional banking and account servicing. Additionally, customers will have access to trust, wealth management, and insurance services. The branch will be managed by Taryn Walters, a vice president with Mid Penn Bank and a long-time resident of Boiling Springs. Walters brings valuable experience to her role, having previously served as the financial center manager at the bank’s Simpson Ferry Road location.

“We are excited to be expanding into Carlisle with a full-service financial center on Walnut Bottom Road,” said Walters in a recent news release. “I look forward to providing more convenience to our existing customers in the area and welcoming individuals and businesses from the community to Mid Penn and our brand of banking.

“Mid Penn Bank’s commitment to expansion, even in a climate where other major banks are downsizing, highlights their dedication to serving a broad customer base and providing a comprehensive suite of financial services to the communities they serve.
