Slide fascination bursts into flames at Canada's Wonderland water park

The water park at Canada's Wonderland is shut on Monday after a fire broke out on one of the slide attractions.

In an explanation, the recreation area said the "little design fire" started at around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday.

"As Splash Works had shut down at 6 p.m., influenced region of the recreation area were clear of visitors and remaining partners were emptied," the assertion said.

"Crisis teams answered, no wounds were accounted for and the reason for the fire is being examined."

York Regional Police said on Twitter that the recreation area was emptied "as a safeguard" due to blowing smoke.

A representative for York Regional Police told Global News the fire, which occurred on the west side of the water park

seems to have begun close to a "siphon house" structure prior to spreading to a slide and a few trees.

The representative said the occurrence might have begun from firecrackers.

Canada's Wonderland affirmed its Civic Holiday firecrackers show occurred at 10 p.m., yet said the reason stays being scrutinized.
